Bridge into the Woods

WELCOME TO MY BLOG

This is a place to come to learn more about you and your struggles. I want to help you understand what you’re going through from the lens of an experienced, compassionate professional who can help you navigate all the challenges you face.

So read on if: You want to know more about what's going on with you and how you can feel better. Your emotions feel unmanageable because of what’s happened to you. You feel alone with your struggles and don’t have people who understand your situation or pain. Trauma, complicated grief, depression, anxiety, and minority stress from being LGBTQ+ are hard to deal with on your own. You might be suffering from anxiety, depression, unrelenting grief, low self-esteem, gender dysphoria, or confusion about what to do next in your life. Maybe if you read about what's happening with you here, you can start to understand it better and perhaps see yourself in the words you read. There is something comforting in knowing that other people are scared, sad, angry, ashamed, hurt, etc. It can be empowering to know that you can do something to help yourself cope with it better. The blog posts are here to help you do that, and to reflect on how you have coped so far.

Whether you're feeling low and having a hard time getting motivated to do things you need to do, or anxious about what might happen next, there’s something for you here. If you're suffering from complicated grief, or traumatic memories from the past keep flooding your waking and dreaming hours, you will find yourself in these posts. If you experience shame about your experience, whether it’s coming from what others say about you or what you believe about yourself, you are seen here as well. When you read about these problems, you can also see how I work with clients. You can better determine whether my style matches what you need. And isn’t it nice to know that what you’re reading is free information! Yep, it's free! There are lots of posts about what you might be struggling with, and you can use them as an opportunity to explore your inner experience and to see whether you should
